The Trump administration is staging the Million Dollar Pitch Competition on Sept. 18, bringing five small-business finalists to Washington for a share of $1 million in privately funded growth capital. The event, organized by the U.S. Small Business Administration, has drawn comparisons to Donald Trump’s The Apprentice. Nicki Minaj will judge alongside Grant Cardone and Airbnb co-founder Joe Gebbia, while actor Dean Cain will host. The five finalists were selected from 1,182 applicants across all 50 states. Awards range from $75,000 to $400,000, and every finalist is guaranteed a prize. Television and streaming details are still to come.
