Gal Gadot believes artificial intelligence has become unavoidable in filmmaking, although she admits the technology frightens her. While making Doug Liman’s Bitcoin, she embraced learning about AI but established strict protections for her performance. Her lawyers spent six months negotiating a contract ensuring the technology could not alter her acting, and SAG-AFTRA examined those safeguards for possible wider use. Filmed in roughly 20 days inside a bare space, the production uses AI to create environments and much of its lighting while retaining human teams for costumes, props and production design. Gadot said the streamlined process felt like performing in theatre.
