Yamaha has set the wheels in motion once more with its latest creation, the ‘Tricera’, a distinctive three-wheeled electric vehicle aiming to introduce a new paradigm in personal mobility.

The Tricera has an unconventional design featuring a delta trike layout. It comprises two front wheels and a single rear wheel, setting the stage for its three-wheeled steering system. It’s essentially a unique autocycle that doesn’t quite function like a car or work like a bike.

Quite notable is the rear wheel’s ability to pivot, making it possible for nimble, tight turns. Yamaha has also included both automatic and manual steering modes, allowing for versatility in handling.

The Tricera showcases an open-top design that is also devoid of conventional doors, aiming to offer riders a more immersive and open-air experience. With that, the Tricera is like a mini three-wheeled supercar that can take you on joyrides through country roads and coastal explorations.

And as you take in your surroundings, you can do so with a buddy as the Tricera offers dual side-by-side seating.

In addition to the Tricera, Yamaha has recently introduced the Yamaha Motoroid 2 electric motorcycle, a self-balancing and self-driving vehicle. This technology can be particularly relevant for urban commuters who seek a hassle-free and efficient mode of transportation.
