Anthropic has launched Claude Opus 4.8 only forty one days after version 4.7, underscoring the fast pace of AI competition. The new release focuses on smarter judgment and reliability, with early users noting it now admits uncertainty, avoids inventing facts, and even catches its own coding mistakes. Anthropic says it is four times less likely to miss bugs. A research preview called Dynamic Workflows lets the system split large coding projects into parallel tasks for faster results. Pricing remains the same, while fast mode is cheaper and quicker. Mythos, Anthropic’s advanced model, is still pending release.
