Pokémon Teams Up With ESA For World Space Week After Pikachu’s 67 Days In Orbit

Pokémon is teaming up with the European Space Agency for World Space Week 2026, with Astronaut Pikachu taking center stage. French astronaut Sophie Adenot carried a Pikachu plush to the International Space Station from April 11 to June 17, where it spent 67 days in orbit and circled Earth roughly 1,040 times. The partnership will bring Pokémon-themed space exhibitions to ESA sites and museums across Europe, alongside exclusive merchandise and Pokémon GO activities featuring Astronaut Pikachu. World Space Week runs from October 4 to 10, while the exhibitions will continue into April 2027 for fans and families to explore.
