Warner Music Group has acquired the entire recorded music catalog of the Red Hot Chili Peppers in a deal valued at more than $300 million, marking one of the biggest rock catalog sales in recent years. Finalized in May 2026 through Warner’s $1.2 billion joint venture with Bain Capital, the agreement covers all 13 studio albums, from Blood Sugar Sex Magik to Unlimited Love. The band had already sold its publishing rights to Hipgnosis in 2021 for $140–150 million. With enduring hits still driving streaming and touring success, Warner secures a catalog firmly embedded in global culture.
