‘Call Of Duty: Black Ops 7’ Ad Banned After ASA Flags Sexual Violence References

by rrollins, February 20, 2026

The UK’s Advertising Standards Authority has banned a Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 promotional video after ruling that its jokes relied on innuendo linked to sexual violence. The ad, part of Activision’s Replacers series, featured exaggerated security‑style inspections that the regulator said implied non‑consensual acts. While nothing explicit was shown, the ASA concluded the tone and references were inappropriate and breached rules around offensive content. Complaints from viewers triggered the investigation, and the watchdog ultimately determined the promo crossed a line. As a result, the ad can no longer appear in the UK.
