FGF Brands, an Indiana-based bakery company, has issued a recall affecting over two million cases of donuts and other pastries due to concerns over possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The recall, which was first initiated on January 7, 2025, was later upgraded to a Class II recall by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on February 5. This classification means that while the affected products may cause temporary or medically reversible health effects, the risk of serious illness is relatively low.
