The FDA has upgraded the recall of Lay’s Classic Potato Chips to Class I, its highest risk level, due to undeclared milk in the product. This recall affects over 6,300 bags sold in Oregon and Washington through retail stores and e-commerce distributors. Consuming these chips could cause severe or life-threatening allergic reactions in individuals with a milk allergy. Frito-Lay initiated the recall after a consumer complaint. Affected bags have a “Guaranteed Fresh” date of February 11, 2025. Consumers should dispose of them immediately and contact Frito-Lay Consumer Relations at 1-800-352-4477 for more information.
