Judy Garland’s iconic ruby slippers from ‘The Wizard of Oz’ sold for a record-breaking $32.5 million at auction in Dallas on December 7, 2024. The slippers, one of four surviving pairs from the 1939 film, were stolen from the Judy Garland Museum in 2005 and recovered by the FBI in 2018. The winning bid was $28 million, with the final amount including fees. This sale sets a new record for the most expensive piece of film memorabilia ever sold.
