Kodak recently announced the revival of its iconic Super 8mm movie camera. This modern iteration brings together the charm of retro filmmaking with contemporary digital features.
The new gadget is equipped with a 4-inch LCD viewfinder that swivels, allowing for a versatile range of shooting angles.

The expanded screen size significantly improves the user experience, making features like aspect ratio overlays, menu selections, and camera settings more intuitive and user-friendly.
One of the standout functions of this camera is its extended gate, which enables 16:9 widescreen shooting and offers increased visual resolution.

This gate optimizes the capture area of the film strip, resulting in an 11% larger image compared to the traditional model.
The 14:9 full frame allows the device films to intercut seamlessly with other modern media formats, fitting today’s television and video screen dimensions perfectly.

In addition, the camera comes with a detachable wide-angle 6mm 1:1.2 C-mount lens, providing filmmakers with a variety of creative options.
It’s compatible with other C-mount lenses, allowing users to experiment with vintage lenses for a retro feel.

The camera boasts an onboard sound recorder and external microphone connectivity via a 3.5mm input directly to the integrated SD card reader.
Filmmakers can monitor audio levels live on the LCD screen. The camera also features crystal sync at 24 and 25 fps, with additional options to over and under crank at 18 and 36 FPS.

On the exterior, the design includes a sleek top handle with an integrated run button, ensuring comfortable handling in various shooting settings.
There’s even a detachable pistol grip with an additional run button, providing a nostalgic feel of devices from the bygone days.
Each Kodak Super 8 cartridge is loaded with 50 feet of professional motion picture film.
