Imagination meets cuisine as Play-Doh’s newest experience, Busy Chef’s Restaurant, offers a unique solution to the age-old challenge of picky eaters. As any parent knows, coaxing children to embrace a variety of foods can be a daunting task. In recognition of this, the brand is introducing an avenue where the art of make-believe cooking transcends into practical mealtime solutions.

At Play-Doh’s pop-up store Restaurant of Imagination, young kids can take charge of their meal times by molding their own perfect menus with the Busy Chef’s Restaurant set. There, they can make anything from burgers to meatballs to fries and just about anything under the sun, which will then be turned into actual food for them by the restaurant’s chefs. Overall, it aims to transform picky eaters into adventurous young diners.

The campaign addresses a prevalent concern among parents—dealing with fussy eaters and navigating stressful mealtimes. According to Famous Campaigns, a research conducted by Censuswide shows that eight out of 10 parents grapple with finicky food habits in their children. A third of families also admit to the tensions often when it comes time to eat. Moreover, half of these parents reveal that their children’s picky preferences deter them from dining out.

As part of this campaign, 74% of parents express a desire to inspire their children to embrace more adventurous and varied dishes. More intriguingly, 53% have found that involving their kids in the decision-making process at mealtime helps reduce pickiness.

Parents looking to utilize the power of play to encourage their youngsters to step out of their culinary comfort zone can book tickets for Restaurant of Imagination here. However, tickets are limited as it is a one-day event.
