Amazon’s Audible has opened Story House, a first-ever “bookless bookstore” that reimagines how people discover stories. Instead of printed books, visitors browse tactile ‘Story Tiles’ that can be tapped to stream audiobook samples through the app. Spread across three floors, the space features listening stations with Sony headphones and a Dolby Atmos lounge for a more cinematic experience. It also doubles as a social hub, with a café and a full lineup of panels, workshops, and live events. Running throughout May 2026, Story House explores how audio, community, and physical spaces can reshape the bookstore experience.
