A lifelike robot dog with Elon Musk’s face startled crowds in San Francisco as part of Beeple’s Regular Animals project, tied to his INFINITE_LOOP exhibition at NODE in Palo Alto. Built on a Unitree Go2 frame and topped with a Hyperflesh mask, the Musk‑headed robot captured attention with its blank stare and occasional wave. Beeple has created similar machines featuring figures like Zuckerberg and Picasso, each programmed to “poop out” photos and archive interactions on the blockchain. The San Francisco outing, complete with staged “lost dog” posters, marked the robot’s first urban run, sparking fascination and unease.
