Green Day’s ‘Kerplunk’ Cover Girl Makes the Jump From Album Art To Action Figure

by rrollins, February 5, 2026

Green Day’s early‑’90s era gets a nostalgic revival with a new action figure based on the ‘Kerplunk’ cover girl, transforming the album’s iconic artwork into a 3.75‑inch collectible. Originally conceived by Lookout Records founder Larry Livermore and illustrated by Chris Appelgren, the character went through several drafts before becoming a staple of Green Day’s visual identity. The figure faithfully recreates her flower shirt, smoking gun, and classic color palette. Arriving just as the band prepares to open Super Bowl LX, the release offers fans a timely celebration of Green Day’s roots and expanding collectible universe.
