To mark Monopoly’s 90th anniversary, the Royal Mint has unveiled a limited-edition 50p coin—the first UK coin ever to honor a board game. Featuring Mr. Monopoly and iconic game pieces, the coin blends nostalgia with clever design, including a tilted “GO” square that morphs into an “M.” Available in various finishes, from uncirculated to gold proof (£1,730), the coin launches alongside a nationwide Monopoly UK Coin Hunt. Fans can also mint their own at the Royal Mint Experience in Wales. Hasbro calls it “a piece of history,” celebrating Monopoly’s enduring legacy across generations.
