Studio Ghibli’s My Neighbor Totoro stage adaptation, produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company, has unveiled its towering Totoro puppet during its acclaimed West End run at London’s Gillian Lynne Theatre. Adapted by Tom Morton-Smith and featuring music by Joe Hisaishi, the production recreates iconic scenes from the 1988 animated classic, including the beloved bus stop moment. The newly revealed puppet, designed by Basil Twist, stands over 10 feet tall and captures Totoro’s gentle charm with stunning realism. The show, which broke box office records and won six Olivier Awards, will continue its run through March 2026.
