The Pokémon Fossil Museum is set to make its North American debut at Chicago’s Field Museum on May 22, 2026. Originally launched in Japan in 2021, the exhibit pairs real-life fossils of dinosaurs and prehistoric creatures with Pokémon fossils, offering visitors a unique way to explore paleontology through the lens of Pokémon. The exhibit will feature scientific casts of fossils, including SUE the T. rex and the Chicago Archaeopteryx, alongside Fossil Pokémon like Tyrantrum and Archeops. The museum aims to educate visitors while making science engaging and interactive.
