US Federal Judge Throws Out FTC’s Ban On Non-Compete Agreements

U.S. District Judge Ada Brown in Texas has thrown out the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) new rule that aimed to prohibit employers from enforcing non-compete agreements. This rule, which was set to come into effect on September 4, 2024, has been halted due to the judge’s decision.
