Officials in Australia have raised concerns about the security of public Wi-Fi networks at airports following the discovery of rogue access points. The Australian Federal Police (AFP) recently charged a 42-year-old man from Western Australia who allegedly established fake free Wi-Fi networks, mimicking legitimate ones, to capture personal data from unsuspecting victims. The man faces nine charges related to cybercrime offenses and is expected to appear in court.
