Subway can talk about footlongs all the foot-long day. Now, the sandwich chain is rolling out the dough in a new direction. With the introduction of ‘Sidekicks’, the company has turned classic snacks into toothsome pretzels and churros you’ll need two hands to handle.
Starting January 22, these supersized treats, notably crafted alongside Cinnabon and Auntie Anne’s, have been making their way by the foot into Subway outlets nationwide. They trail after the permanent addition of the Footlong Cookie, which the brand spent a year to perfect.
The Cinnabon Footlong Churro, priced at a modest US$2, is a warm, cinnamon-sugar delight, taking the essence of the beloved churro and stretching it to new lengths.

Then there’s the Auntie Anne’s Footlong Pretzel, available for US$3. It’s a reimagined, buttery, and salty treat that comes with a side of Subway’s Honey Mustard.

And let’s not forget the Footlong Cookie, Subway’s own creation, tagged at US$5. After a teaser appearance on National Cookie Day in 2022 and 2023, this thick, gooey, chocolate chip-studded behemoth is ready to grip the snack world’s hearts and stomachs.

Douglas Fry, president of Subway North America, notes that the Sidekicks build upon six decades of “expertise in all things footlong.”
“We’re excited to team up with Subway to bring guests the fun and flavor of two of our iconic brands,” Dave Mikita, president of international and retail channels at Focus Brands, the parent company of Auntie Anne’s and Cinnabon, chimes in. “These fan-favorite snacks will delight guests in new, craveable ways.”
With the Sidekicks, Subway is evidently serious about stretching its horizons beyond sandwiches in a way that’s both familiar and new. While others fuss over sparkly new logos, this brand is consistently biting into the footlong recipe.
