Holiday movie season is about to get a dash of vigilante justice with DC’s forthcoming animated feature, Merry Little Batman, set to hit Prime Video screens on December 8.
Directed by Mike Roth with a script penned by Morgan Evans and Jase Ricci, Merry Little Batman follows the escapades of young Damian Wayne, voiced by Yonas Kibreab. With the halls of Wayne Manor to himself on Christmas Eve, Damian dons the cape and cowl as Little Batman, embarking on a mission to protect his home and Gotham from a slew of holiday-hating villains bent on stealing the celebratory spirit—you know, like a bunch of Grinches.
“This Christmas, Damian Wayne wants to be a Super Hero like his dad—the one and only Batman,” the synopsis reads. “Damian is left home alone while Batman takes on Gotham’s worst Super-Villains on Christmas Eve, he stumbles upon a villainous plot to steal Christmas and leaps at the chance to save the day.”

This festive film with an adventurous DC spin, accompanied by music by Patrick Stump, is the latest addition to a growing list of DC offerings on the platform, including the highly anticipated Batman: Caped Crusader series. Alongside Kibreab, the voice cast features names like Luke Wilson, James Cromwell, and David Hornsby.
The story offers a new perspective on the Batman legacy, all through the eyes of the spirited lil Wayne (heh). Merry Little Batman will be available for streaming globally on Prime Video, ensuring that DC fans across over 240 countries can join in on the holiday cheer. Watch the trailer below.
