LEGO fans, prepare to embark on a celestial journey with the upcoming Tribute to Galileo Galilei set. This new gift-with-purchase set, scheduled for release later this fall, boasts over 300 pieces that pay homage to the renowned astronomer, physicist, and engineer Galileo Galilei.
Surrounding this iconic figure is a detailed build that tells the story of his groundbreaking discoveries. On one side, a bookshelf offers a glimpse into the vast knowledge that Galileo amassed during his lifetime. On the other side, a window frames a telescope, symbolizing his pioneering work in astronomy. And standing amid all of this is a minifigures of Galileo himself.

The build further showcases a framed picture of the Leaning Tower of Pisa, a subtle nod to his birthplace. However, the pièce de résistance is undoubtedly Galileo’s workspace—a desk adorned with a multitude of gadgets, including a mariner’s astrolabe compass and an orrery.
The model rests on a sleek black base adorned with a nameplate titled “Galileo Galilei.” This set also continues LEGO’s Tribute series, following in the footsteps of previous sets that honored remarkable figures like Jane Goodall and Amelia Earhart.

Recently, LEGO also released another gift-with-purchase set of Mickey Mouse in Steamboat Willie to celebrate Disney’s 100th anniversary.
To add this astronomical set to your LEGO collection, a minimum spending requirement on LEGO sets will be in place, with an estimated amount of US$120.
