X, formerly Twitter, has done everything in its power to shed its feathers to be an “everything app.” After axing the bird, its latest move seriously drives home its rebrand—the Elon Musk-owned company has replaced its home icon, represented by a birdhouse.
Musk promised weeks back that the symbol would be redesigned. Now, users have noticed that the house has been flipped to look more like a regular abode.

While the icon is tiny enough for most to overlook, some users have lamented that the user interface has lost its edge now that the home icon appears more generic. “Boring,” one person writes. “They’re erasing our culture,” another adds.
Others have likened the design to a barn and a dog kennel.
Most hadn’t even realized that the icon was once imagined for birds.
All these changes, and people are still calling the app Twitter.
