Following in the footsteps of Lenovo’s Yoga 9i, LG recently launched its very own foldable laptop, joining the trend of dual-screen gadgets perfect for multitaskers.
The 17-inch flexible panel, specially designed for laptops, utilizes a Tandem OLED structure—a technology previously employed in automotive displays.
This structure substantially enhances the panel’s lifespan while incorporating LG Display’s pioneering two-stack OLED technology, which includes an extra organic emitting layer.

The innovation allows it to deliver a seamless display and exceptional picture quality, distinguishing it from conventional foldable panels.
In fact, this panel boasts an “in-folding” design, allowing it to fold inward with ease. This feature reduces the curvature of the folding portion to a mere 3R (radius of curvature 3 mm), resulting in a slim and seamless screen that fits snugly when folded in half.
In terms of display quality, the panel features QHD+ resolution (2560 X 1920) on its expansive size, offering users the ability to enjoy high-definition content with unmatched clarity.

One highlight feature is the notable versatility of this special display. When fully unfolded, it functions as a 17-inch portable monitor or tablet with a 4:3 aspect ratio for an immersive viewing experience.
However, by just adjusting the angle, the screen transforms into a 12.3-inch laptop with a 3:2 aspect ratio, flexibly catering to individual user needs.

The touchscreen capabilities of the panel are noteworthy, too, with LG Display integrating high-sensitivity touchscreen solutions. This allows users to interact with the screen using either a pen or their fingers.
The touch sensor within the panel enhances touch performance, providing a tactile experience akin to writing with an actual pen or pencil.
