Netflix is delving into a different world of real-life drama, and the stars are not your typical actors.Enter the Baby Gorilla Cam, a swoon-worthy livestream series that transports viewers into the lush habitat of a troop of primates at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.
Beginning September 7, Baby Gorilla Cam introduces us to adult male gorilla Mokolo, and four adult females, Kebi Moyo, Fredrika, Nneka, and Tusa. Of course, the ones to likely make viewers go bananas over are the babies—there’s Kayembe and a yet-to-be-named female newborn. It’s a reality empire to go apes for.
The two-hour livestreams will take place every Thursday at 10 a.m. ET (7 a.m. PT) throughout September. No need to pound your chest if you miss these precious moments, as the footage will be available on-demand.

Inviting fans to be a part of the troop’s everyday life, the zoo is letting them decide on the name of the newest member of the pack, with voting concluding on September 12.
“We can’t wait for people from all around the world to get to know our dynamic gorilla troop and elevate the work that’s being done to save this critically endangered species,” shares Cleveland Metroparks Zoo executive director Dr Chris Kuhar. “In addition, this opportunity is a celebration of our newest member of the troop, and we look forward to seeing what name viewers choose.”
