Porsche is taking a trip down its historic lanes as it joins forces with Type 7, the marque’s automotive magazine, and ERG Media to present Artifacts. This 356-page book provides an inside look into the Porsche Historic Archive in Zuffenhausen, Germany.
However, Artifacts isn’t your typical automotive history book. It also offers a curated collection of items and narratives that delve into Porsche’s rich legacy. This includes Porsche family heirlooms and documents linked to iconic vehicles.

“Each of the selected items [was] photographed by Creative Director and photographer Thomas Walk in a specially-constructed studio space on-site in Zuffenhausen, while vehicles were photographed in situ at the Porsche Museum,” noted Porsche retailer Elferspot.
Beyond that, Artifacts boasts a pull-out index that delves into the backstories of each artifact. The book’s design, complete with dramatic lighting and high-definition imagery, aims to translate the Zuffenhausen vaults onto paper.

Artifacts will be available starting September 1 on ERG Media’s official website and select retailers.
In other automotive book news, Ferrari just released its own book encased in carbon fiber.
